Many beaded curtains can be made from acrylic beads or polyster beads, you basically work out what area you would like to cover and make up accordingly. As with any window covering the main purpose of introducing a new style onto any area is either to gain privacy or create an impact within a certain room or home.

Many beaded curtains are now being made from natural timber beads that have been lacquered or polished, this enable you to introduce a look whilst maintaining natural products. A lot of the timber beads can be stained to any colour using natural pigments or I have seen some really keen designs using bees wax. Again that sound of natural beads brushing up against each other is quite distinctive from acrylic and glass beads.

As with any design for beaded curtains the overall deciding factor will be of what you are trying to achieve in reference to the look within that area, if you are trying for a bright solid impact than you will most like opt for beads that are quite bright and quirky. If you after a more peaceful soothing look than the timber is the obvious choice.

Remember you are only restricted by your imagination for your new beaded curtains, let your ideas run wild and create that individual look with as much colour as you want
